Nikon NIKKOR Z 14-24mm F2.8 S Lens - Brand New review

The iPhone 14 isn’t much of an upgrade over the iPhone 13, but it’s still a great device and an upgrade for anyone coming from the iPhone 11 or older.

Great camera, Good battery, Emergency features are cool, Still excellent performance

Display could use some upgrades

Nikon NIKKOR Z 14-24mm F2.8 S Lens - Brand New review

While it's a shame that picture and sound quality haven't been upgraded, the iPhone 13 was great in these regards and the iPhone 14 is, too Excellent display Admirable headphone performance Solid build quality No upgrades to picture or sound Familiar design Notch is still present

Nikon NIKKOR Z 14-24mm F2.8 S Lens - Brand New review

It’s a great handset, but the improvements are so iterative that most of you will hardly notice what’s new.

Action mode offers truly superb video stabilization. eSIM makes it easy to switch phones (with other iPhones). Satellite SOS and Crash Detection add peace of mind.

Many of the specs remain the same as on the iPhone 13. Small battery gains. Photonic Engine isn’t as revolutionary as suggested.

Nikon NIKKOR Z 14-24mm F2.8 S Lens - Brand New review

The Apple iPhone 14 is no match for the just-released iPhone 14 Pro, but if you ignore that, it’s one of the most effective phones around.

Great cameras, front and back, Fast performance, Good battery life, Innovative safety features

Design too familiar, Some average features

Nikon NIKKOR Z 14-24mm F2.8 S Lens - Brand New review

A slight camera upgrade, new emergency features, and... not a whole lot else

Better selfie camera, Good battery life, Crash detection and satellite SOS are neat

It’s more like an iPhone 13S, Display is still 60Hz, eSIM transition will be easy for most but painful for some

Nikon Z 14-24mm F2.8 S field review

The Nikon Z 14-24mm F2.8 S brings its famed DSLR-era lens to its mirrorless format, in a more compact lightweight formula with an option for (albeit very large 112mm) filters. It's sharp wide open at all focal lengths, and any corner softness is dealt with by stopping down a couple of stops. Autofocus is swift and silent, and aberrations are very well controlled, with only busy bokeh being our primary concern with this lens, optically.

Landscape photographers and videographers who'll utilize the convenient, though large, filter thread for circular polarizer and neutral density filters. Anyone looking for sharp, wide-angle optics.;

Portrait photographers looking for the smoothest bokeh; bright-edged out-of-focus highlights can lead to busier blurred backgrounds.;

Nikon Nikkor Z 14-24mm F2.8 S Review

The Nikkor Z 14-24mm F2.8 S ($2,399.95) is the second ultra-wide zoom lens for Nikon's full-frame mirrorless system. Like others in the company's premium S line, it's built well, and sealed for use in rough weather. Opticals are sublime, and the lens is pretty small when you consider its angle of view and aperture. It's a good choice if you'll use it in low light, such as for architectural interiors and astrophotography, but many photographers will be perfectly happy with the Nikkor Z 14-30mm F4 S. It doesn't gather as much light wide open, but it has a bit more zoom power and is priced a lot lower, around $1,300.Lightweight for F2.8 The Z 14-24mm is made for Nikon's full-frame mirrorless system. There's not much difference between the rear optics and the sensor, so it's a bit smaller all around than similar lenses for full-frame SLRs. It's still not small, but at 4.9 by 3.5 inches (HD) and 1.4 pounds, you won't have too much trouble finding a place for it in your camera bag. It...

The Nikkor Z 14-24mm F2.8 S is smaller and lighter than similar lenses for other systems, but it has to compete with Nikon's more affordable Z 14-30mm F4 S.

Sharp f/2.8 optics; Sturdy, all-weather build; Anti-smudge glass coating; Supports front and rear filters

112mm threaded filters are costly; Design not as ambitious as competitors
