The new folder from Samsung is its best yet. It looks sensational and works beautifully.
Stunning looks, Excellent cameras, Unbeaten pocketability
Pricey, Still not quite as strong as regular phones

The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 is a small clamshell-style folding phone with powerful internals and a particularly stylish design. On the outside, the 1.9-inch cover display gives you another way to manage your apps and messages, even if it is quite small. The best part?
Sturdy, waterproof build, Speedy performance and good battery life, 1.9inch cover screen with new widgets
Very similar to Flip 3, Average camera system
The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 makes a few important updates to this popular folding phone, resulting in a better-looking device, better cameras and bringing the power up to date. There's novelty in the design, but the reality is that these phone displays just don't last as long - and that's something...
Premium design, Lots of customisation options, Great display, IPX8 protection
Charging not the fastest, Display durability remains a problem, No zoom camera
The Galaxy Z Flip 4 is one of the most interesting phones available. Where standard phones have become stale and boring, there’s something fun about unfolding the Flip. While you can do novel things with it propped up, such as taking photos at unusual angles and selfies with the rear camera, for the...
Pros: a great large screen that folds in half, good cover screen, IPX8 water resistant, good camera, different and fun, One UI 4 with five years of updates, nano sim and esim.
Cons: less durable than a regular phone, no dust resistance, no telephoto camera, only a day’s battery life, not much of an upgrade since last year.
Battery life still problematic? With the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor and a bigger battery this time around, Samsung's smaller foldable hopes to solve the biggest issue with its predecessor: the poor battery life. Find out why this is only partly fixed for this new model in our review.
Beautiful OLED display, Great build quality, Waterproof foldable design, Good stereo speakers, A powerful SoC...
... with heavy throttling, Single-frequency GPS only, No improvement to the screen brightness, No WiFi 6E, USB 2.0, Hard-to-reach buttons
The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 is a significant update from its predecessor. Critical systems and features have been improved, and the whole package came out great between the design, performance, battery life, and camera. Should a Z Flip 3 owner upgrade? If you can afford it, absolutely yes!
Excellent folding phone design, Great camera update close to the S22, Improved all-day battery life, Higher peak performance, Excellent folding phone design, Great camera update close to the S22, Improved all-day battery life, Higher peak performance
Volume button not easily accessible, Requires two hands at times, Could be too thick for very tight pants, Volume button not easily accessible, Requires two hands at times, Could be too thick for very tight pants
Josh Hendrickson / Review Geek I always liked the idea of foldable phones but questioned their usefulness. The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 changed my mind and convinced me the concept is sound. It’s the foldable that makes sense for most people, and it actually solves a very real problem.
Fits in the pocket perfectly, Great fingerprint sensor, Runs like a champ, Affordable for a foldable
Battery life is good but could be better, Durability is still a question, Cameras could be better
Everyone's favorite foldable got an incremental upgrade that turns out to be a huge upgrade!
Folds up pretty small, Pretty good battery life, $999 price tag, Incredible performance
Camera is still meh, Still has a crease in the display, Cover Screen could still use some improvements
I have been carrying both of Samsung’s new foldables on my person when I leave the house for the last few days. It’s mostly for testing purposes, of course, but there’s also a fun game I like to play when I see people I know.
The Galaxy Z Flip4's distinctive design led Samsung to make some sacrifices, as we've already seen with its camera and heat dissipation. The battery is another, and possibly the one that could be more concerning for potential customers.
