Got this for my wife, Works a treat and takes great photos
The Samsung Galaxy S22+ is a safe but welcome update to the middle of the family. This model may suit a great number of users - especially those who now don't feel drawn to the S Pen-wielding Ultra.
Great display, Smooth software and flagship performance, Neat overall design, Solid all-round performer
Iterative updates means it isn't very exciting
With all that said, none of the issues I found with this phone stop me from thoroughly recommending it. If you want a reliable, powerful Android phone that looks stylish, takes fantastic photos, has battery to last most of the day and runs everything you throw at it without breaking a sweat, the...
Fantastic AMOLED display, Capable processor, Impressive camera, Flat screen, Comfortable in the hand, Well incorporated camera bump
Built-in colour scheme options a little lacking
Samsung’s sensible flagship, here in its larger version
Excellent display, Premium design, Great camera system
Expensive, No expandable storage, No SD card slot
Aside from a bigger battery and a larger screen, is there anything else that separates the Galaxy S22 Plus from the regular model?
Bigger screen than the S21, Bigger battery than the S21, Excellent cameras
No microSD slot, Battery life downgrade, S22 Ultra’s features are worth the extra £200
The S22+ offers a slim and well-built design, with a stunning display, feature-packed software and improved cameras, but there are flaws in the battery and camera software that should have been addressed before this phone made it to market.
Long-term update support, Tough but elegant design, Superb display
Cameras need tweaking, Middling battery life, A little pricey
The Samsung Galaxy S22 Plus is in an early shoe-in as the best everyman flagship phone for 2022 with plenty of power for even the most discerning users. Samsung’s latest flagship combines a large and fantastic 120Hz AMOLED display, excellent performance and a high performing camera array.
Superb display, Excellent performance, Outstanding camera quality for videos and snaps, Features WiFi 6E and UWB from S22 Ultra
Battery life could be better
Everything about the Galaxy S22+ feels premium but it lacks a certain wow factor, particularly next to Samsung’s other £949 folding flip phone . The screen is great, the camera is good, performance is snappy and the battery life is reasonable.
Pros: 120Hz screen, good camera, One UI 4.1/Android 12, good performance, decent battery life, fast fingerprint scanner, five years of software support, contains recycled materials, premium feel.
Cons: big, expensive, no headphone socket, battery life and camera bettered by others, no flashy features.
Good news is that the Galaxy S22 Plus price is the same as last year at $1,000 for the base 8G/128GB model, while $50 on top of that gets you an 8G/256GB model and that seems like the optimal configuration.
Superb display, Beautiful design, Adequate battery life, Good hapitcs and audio quality, Okay performrance
Oversharpened photos, Noisy low-light image quality, Not very ergonomic, Marginal improvements over Galaxy S21 Plus, Gets hot during gaming and heavier load
