These headphones started poorly as the caused a lot of pressure on my ears. After a bit of use the band lossens and the pressure to the ears has gone. Audio and comfort are now good
These headphones create a lot of ear pressure for me, can wear them for maybe half a hour tops. Audio sounds good but these are unusable for me, an expensive lesson learned I guess
Big, meaty sound; Sturdy construction; Simple controls; Incredible battery life;
Expensive; Lack of RGB may not please some; Lacklustre software;
The HyperX Cloud Alpha Wireless is a wireless gaming headset for the PC, and an excellent one at that. It sounds great, has a clear mic, and features DTS Headphone:X simulated surround technology. If the PC is your main gaming platform, this headset is for you. The Cloud Alpha Wireless also works with PlayStation 4/5, but several of its audio features aren't compatible with those consoles, and it lacks a 3.5mm connection as a wired backup for broader compatibility. For $199.99 that’s surprisingly limiting, especially when similarly priced headsets, such as the JBL Quantum 800 and Steelseries Arctis 7+, double as Bluetooth headphones. Still, the Cloud Alpha Wireless produces excellent audio, and for that alone it's worth a purchase. The headset has a black-and-red color scheme, with large, oval-shaped earcups; matte b...
The HyperX Cloud Alpha Wireless is an excellent wireless gaming headset. It excels where it counts, in audio quality, but don't try to use it with anything besides a PC.
Powerful, crisp sound; Excellent mic; DTS Headphone:X simulated surround works well
Primarily for PC, with no wired connections; Scooped sound signature requires using EQ presets to get the best performance
Battery life pretty much unrivalled; Sound quality impresses for a gaming headset; Supremely comfortable;
Microphone could be clearer; Not the slickest software; Limited connectivity options;
Comfortable headphones with good sound, but unfortunately the mic is awful on PS4. I've had to go back to using my old wired headphones until I get my PC built as mic kept cutting out mid-sentence plus voice volume kept spiking when speaking, wasn't usable. They've come out with an update to make it run better on PS4 and PS5 apparently but I haven't downloaded it yet to confirm if it makes any difference. This is a concern as the headset has been out for years. If you're wanting it for PS4 I'd suggest buying a different headset.
