The Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Pro Plus is a smartphone kitted out for a fight, with a list of specifications that exceed much of what the competition offers. With a great screen, good cameras and super fast charging, it delivers on at least some of its initial promise.
Super-speedy charging, Brilliant camera system for the price, Detailed, bright display
Boring design, Bloated MIUI software, Lack of long-term software support
Redmi makes improvements over last years model, but not enough to compete with the best....
Detailed 200MP primary camera, Sharp and snappy 120Hz, AMOLED display, Super fast 120W charging, Dependable gaming mode, Balanced speakers, Decent battery life
Android 12 out of the box, Bloated software, Ultrawide and macro cameras underwhelm, No wireless charging, Basic IP rating, No 4K/60fps video
Pixel overkill. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Pro+ offers fast charging, lots of storage and, above all, a very high-resolution camera. In doing so it aims to become the king of the midrange.
lots of storage, good camera with OIS, bright OLED display with accurate color reproduction, gaming possible at 120 fps (depending on the game), no throttling under load, wide range of Bluetooth codecs, long runtimes, very fast loading, accurate tracking capabilities
PWM flickering, significant waste heat under load, no wireless charging, ads in the operating system, not waterproof, heavy
